Edward Alleyn House (The Dulwich Almshouse)

Edward Alleyn House is in the heart of Dulwich Village. It is to the East of Christ's Chapel facing Dulwich Park, although the flats are entered from the green in front of the Chapel. To the South of Edward Alleyn House is the Dulwich Picture Gallery. There is no off-street parking. Street parking is available in the vicinity and in Dulwich Park, during the park opening hours.

Dulwich and Edward Alleyn House is six miles south of the River Thames. It is accessible by public transport and is not far from the South Circular Road

By Train

West Dulwich (10 minutes' walk). On the main line from Victoria to Beckenham Junction, Bromley and Orpington. Trains leave Victoria every 15 minutes and the journey takes 12 minutes.


North Dulwich (10 minutes' walk). On the line from London Bridge to East Croydon.


By Bus

The P4 (from Lewisham to Brixton) stops in front of the Almshouse by the entrance to Dulwich Park. There are other buses which run along the South Circular or along Lordship Lane the other side of Dulwich Park.
