Area of Benefit

The Dulwich Almshouse Charity’s area of benefit is defined as the former parishes, as constituted on 1st May 1891, of: St Botolph, Bishopsgate; St Luke, Old Street; St. Saviour, Southwark and Camberwell. Any applicants for residence at Edward Alleyn House must be over the age of 60 and have lived within the area of benefit for at least 3 years.

We recently commissioned the development of a digital map to outline our area of benefit and its specific boundary demarcation.

The map below can be zoomed in as far as street level to enable users to explore the specific boundaries that demarcate the charity's area of benefit, or users can enter a postcode in the search bar and the map will reveal whether this location lies within the area of benefit. Please search via a full postcode as opposed to a street name.

The map has been developed by Rosalyn Ellis of Maproom.
