Residents Summer Outing 2017

This year the annual summer outing was a visit to the Kent Life Museum on the 12th of July. The residents were given an introductory tour of the site sitting on a tractor and trailer. Lunch was an excellent ploughman’s lunch followed by a selection of cakes and tea or coffee. This was served in the Village Hall which is part of the Museum, and was reserved just for us.

Throughout the day there was plenty of time to wander around the museums site, which contains several historical houses, and many animals. One of the horses helped himself to the peppermints that were in the pocket of Carol Calver our oldest resident (a young 101), which made her day.

Later in the day we returned to the Village Hall for tea with scones, cream and jam, before returning home on the coach. Everyone was talking about the outing for days as it had been such a great day out.
